Search, evaluate and integrate various data analysis tools to identify or categorize textile and polymer-relevant molecules andtheir degradation products in complex sample matrices.
Conduct research aimed at determining the cytotoxicity of the identifi ed compounds and correlating the olfactorycharacteristics of a sample with the chromatographic data.
Contribute to all aspects of the experimental pipeline (excluding instrument maintenance & operation), including processsamples, design experiments, analyse data, interpret experimental results, and summarise data for presentations and reports
Master or PhD in (Bio or Analytical) chemistry, Bioinformatics or other relevant scientific field
Expertise in small molecules and/or protein-based omics pipelines (metabolomics, lipidomics, proteomics...)
Proficiency in working with and building spectral libraries Experience in the use of identification & annotation methods for LC & GC MS data
Ability to assess the statistical validity of the generated results
Optional skills & experience
Experience in evaluating the cytotoxicity of identified components based on existing data or through homology with structurally similar molecules
Ability to link chromatographic data to the olfactory properties of a sample
Ability to use AI-based techniques to identify correlations in analytical data, particularly for the identification of compounds or the determination of olfactory or cytotoxic characteristics of a sample
